(Sept.) The third consecutive Boston-based sloop to successfully defend the America’s Cup, it is launched from George Lawley and Sons’ shipyard at City Point in South Boston [Delaware], owned by group formed by Gen. Charles Paine, designed by Edward Burgess, and skippered by Henry Huff.
